How things roll!

மூலையில் தனிமையில் கசங்கி கிடப்பதிலிருந்து வானத்தில் மீண்டு பறப்பதாய் மாறி மாறி  சுழல்கிறது  இந்த பாதை .  பறக்கும்போது தொலைவதை விட , தனிமையில் நான்கு சுவற்றுக்குள்ளே என்னை தொலைத்து பின் மீட்டெடுத்த சம்பவங்களின் அனுபவங்கள் என்றும் மீண்டும் விரிய காத்திருக்கின்றன. பறத்தலின் அனுபவங்களை அவளின்  ஒளியிழையில் பதிய முயன்று தோற்றுப்போயிருக்கிறேன்.  திசைகளற்ற வெளியில் பறத்தலில் வெற்றி தோல்வி பற்றிய குறிப்புகள்   இருப்பதாக தெரியவில்லை அல்லது அவ்வாறாக சொல்லித்  தேற்றிக்  கொள்கிறேன். நாளை பரிசளிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய நினைவுக்குறிப்புகள் பதியப்படாமல் போனது பற்றி அவளுக்கு தெரியாது. நாளை என்னவென்பதைப்பற்றி நான் அறியாததைப்  போல்..தோற்றுப்போதல் அனுபவங்களின்  மேல்  அடுக்குகளை  உணர்த்துவதாய் தொடங்கியிருக்கிறது இந்த வருடம்.. பறத்தலை எதிர்நோக்கி மூலையிலிருந்து..  

I'm continuing from where I left.. The place was fixed and it was Varanasi. My plan was to get there before the new year. At first, I had no company in mind (actually had one!) but then I found a friend of mine also had the same plans as mine! Later we started booking tickets and the thing is we were left with one choice to reach Varanasi which is Chennai-Agra-Lucknow-Varanasi.    Yet it was a terrible idea, we didn't mind because we cared only about the destination. That really helped us to understand about the people, landscape, whether as such. The plan was to stay in Varanasi for 3 days. The first day we walked all day along the ghats of the river Ganges and shot some pictures. The next day we explored the other ghats we didn't explore the first day. During the night time, we shared our knowledge of photography and music. Though I had shot some 600 pictures from the past days I wasn't satisfied.  My friend told me that I have to work on my perspective...

       Its been almost a year since i received those film rolls from her. I was sent two of Tri X 400s(BnW) and 2 of Provia 400H (color) rolls which are what exactly i asked for.  I promised myself to use those rolls wisely not just because they're expensive but also i believe that the films are sacred!    It happened to me via two American portrait and wedding photographers named Ryan Muirhead and Tanja Lippert whom i found on YouTube who only uses analogue medium. I saw them capturing a whole wedding using this medium,  That's not the thing which inspired me to shoot film but the psychology he (Ryan) explained why he chooses film over digital.  That inspired me right away. .And from then, I started to search the process of shooting/developing film rolls. I must admit that I was quiet frightened after seeing those chemistry(darkroom process) things because it requires tonnes of knowledge and experience...

     We live in this age where things are digitized day by day. The gadget you bought last month will be outdated by next month.The same applies to the cameras.There are people afraid to buy a new professional camera even if they could afford it just because there will be another updated version of it within the next 6 months or so.They're in the fear of having an outdated gear that doesn't meet the features of a flagship version.In photography the change is happening real fast over the recent years.Now we all have the freedom and possibility to convey the message through pixels. While debating about DSLRs vs Mirror less cameras we can't just ignore the pixel stories that comes out of mobile devices. Even though they can't meet the specs of DSLRs they have some advantages of their own. ISO 100; 0.68 Sec; f2.0     When i was studying photography i had hard time discovering framing.             Just watched the movie 'Sachin A Billion Dreams ". Incredible sequence of clips didn't fail to conduct the feel which was intended. Even though my friends were complaining about the film because they were expecting some usual Bollywood factors that MS Dhoni movie had. I watched India winning 2011 World Cup. And I witnessed the incomparable innings of Sachin against South Africa in which he scored 200 N.O. for the first time in history. Even I've remember moments from 2003 World Cup how we got defeated by the Ausies in 2007. But while watching the movie Sachin A Billion Dreams , I wish I could've watched those Sachin's drives in big screen cheering with people for the nation. Even I wish I could've watched Sachin's play in person in the midst of thousands of souls cheering on Sachin's name. Believe me it is totally different to watch cricket in person. இந்த பதிவு 2017 இன் முதல் நாளை பற்றியது.  அந்த இடத்தை பற்றி கேட்டிருக்கிறேன்.Saree Shoot செய்வதற்கு நண்பர்கள் பரிந்துரைத்த இடம் அது.அதன் பிறகு நேற்றுதான் (Jan 1,2017) அங்கு செல்ல நண்பன் ஒருவன் யோசனை சொன்னான்.வேறு வேலை இல்லை என்பதாலும், கொஞ்சம்  ஆர்வம் இருந்ததாலும் ஒப்புக்கொண்டேன் .அப்பொழுது வரை  சென்னையில் அருமையான, இத்தனை நாளை தவறவிட்ட ஒரு இடத்திற்கு போக போகிறேன் என்பதை அறிந்திருக்கவில்லை. மாயாஜால் திரையரங்கருகில் நண்பணின்  நண்பர்களுக்காக காத்திருந்தோம்.பொறுமை இழக்கும் தருவாயில் வந்து சேர்ந்தனர். அவ்விடம் சென்னை கிழக்கு கடற்கரை சாலையில் உள்ள தக்ஷிண சித்ராவாகும் .  புகைப்படம் எடுக்க 100 என்று போட்டிருந்தது . தேவை இருக்காது என்றே எண்ணி முதலில் மறுத்து பின் நண்பன் சொன்னதால் பையில் இருந்த ஒற்றை நூறைக் கொடுத்தேன்.  வெயில் வெளியில் தகித்தலும், உள்ளே நல்ல சூழலை உணர முடிந்தது.  3 மணிக்கு பொம்மலாட்டம் நிகழ்ச்சி இருப்பதாக சொல்லவும், முதலில் அங்கு செல்ல ரூ 10 கொடுத்து அனுமதி வாங்கி விரைந்தோம். அது ஆம்பூர் இல்லம் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்ட  இடத்தில்  நட...
